Methodology and sources
How we select, how we score, and how the protocol builder calculates. Read this and you'll know what not to take our word for.
What gets in, and what doesn't
The knowledge base admits only what has at least one publicly available, peer-reviewed source (DOI, PubMed, clinical guideline). Product pages, blogs and podcasts are not sources β at most starting points we verify.
Records come from the same data in three languages: a translation isn't a separate text but three versions of the same field, so they can't drift apart.
The evidence level (1β5)
1 = mechanism, cell or animal data, anecdote. 2 = small human trials, mixed results. 3 = multiple human trials with a consistent direction but no hard endpoint. 4 = RCTs and/or large cohorts with clinically important endpoints. 5 = replicated RCTs / meta-analyses, adopted into guidelines.
The level measures human evidence. A mouse study is a 1 even if it appeared in Science.
How the protocol builder calculates
It doesn't estimate biological age, it ranks: every intervention's score = impact (1β5) Γ evidence level (1β5) Γ personal multiplier. The multiplier is large where the gap is large (exercise Γ2.5 for the sedentary; quitting Γ3 for smokers) and zero where there's a contraindication.
Supplements come in three tiers: foundation (worthwhile for most adults), targeted (tied to a goal or condition), experimental (unproven in humans β only on request, flagged). The stack also respects the budget.
The vitality index 0β100 is a weighted sum of lifestyle pillars; weights follow the size of the mortality data (fitness 30, sleep 20, smoking 15, alcohol 10, diet 10, body composition 8, stress 7). It's a map, not a diagnosis.
Formulas: MifflinβSt Jeor (BMR) Γ activity factor; protein 1.2β1.6 g/kg (from 1.4 over 65); fibre 25β30 g; steps 8,500 under 60, 7,000 over.
News and videos
Curated news comes from ahirlevel.hu's partner feed (longevity, health, nutrition, fitness, biotech), in the visitor's language, opening on PegaPoll's reader. Research news comes from 14 RSS sources (journals, institutes) with a keyword filter. Videos are fresh uploads from 16 selected channels; the credibility stars are the editor's judgement, not YouTube's.
Nothing is machine-generated text. Titles and summaries are the sources' own.
Updates and corrections
News and videos daily, automatically. The knowledge base (50 supplements, 36 interventions, 37 studies, 32 biomarkers) by hand with source checks; the review date shows on every page. Report errors via the contact page β if you're right, the evidence level changes too.
